Just upgraded from v7.8 to v9

got this error whan tried to reply a post :


Server Error in Forum Application
An error has occurred while writing to the database.
Please contact the forum administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_save_new_post_data
File Name:- new_post.asp

Error details:-
ADODB.Recordset
Current Recordset does not support updating. This may be a limitation of the provider, or of the selected locktype.

This suggests again issues with your database as in your previous post.

Have you modifed your version 7.x database? Or changed database type? if so this may well course issues with upgrading.

All i did in Ver7 db was adding some tables/rows .. thats it ..
and in the update proccess i got no errors...

how can i fix it now?

We do not support database changes as it can break your database.

If you make changes to your databases schema then you do so at your own risk of breaking the forum and preventing future upgrades of the software.
