I'm having the same problems, I can't give you an error code for the little upload window just displays can't find server.  But suggestion ever hear about asp pure upload? It uses pretty much the same fso info.  Well I have this gallery program that uses it and I can upload, but I can't upload with anything else.  I have contacted my server and they supposedly installed Dundas Upload but it is continuing with the same error as before they had any of the upload apps insalled.  My suggestion could you include in the script a section for the asppureupload?

Also I imgine your error is becuase you have not placed write permissions on the upload folder.

No it wasn't the write permissions, it was a problem with the upload component.  But since I got the information about the MOD for

Pure ASP Upload
(no components)

it fixed all the problems and it is working on my site.  I really appreciate the assistance in the forum with the quick replies and good answers.  Thanks again.
