Hi
 
I am trying to upload a Word doc file to my forum and its coming back with this error:
 
Error uploading file !!
The file uploaded is of the wrong type.
Files must be one of the type, zip, rar, doc, pdf, txt, rtf, gif, jpg, png
 
It can't be a presmissions thing as i am able to upload text, excel and jpg files.
 
I have tried changing the allowable file extensions list in the control panel, eg putting a dot before the extension name, but that doesn't work.
 
What is wrong?

If this is a Word 2007 document it uses a different extension .docx.

Make sure you have the correct extension listed as a supported upload extension and you are running the latest version.
