Feature Request: Login send you back to

This is something that I find quite annoying and wish would be implemented in future versions of WWF.

Situation:  You are not logged in but are looking at a specific topic.  You wish to reply, but you are not logged in.  You click the login button and login.  Then you click the Return to Discussion link which takes you to the correct forum, but not the correct topic.  You then must look for that topic to find it, which it may be on the second page or have a similar title as another one, etc.

What would be useful would be to be taken directly to the topic you were looking at when you pressed the login button instead of taking you to the forum.  Or maybe having links for both (Return to Forum, or Return to Topic).

Remember, most people who have an account, that are not logged in yet, will login so they can reply to a particular post.  It would make senese to send them back to the page they were on when they pressed the login button so they could do so easier.

Also, having the register button work the same way would be nice too.

Without this feature it causes more navigation and makes the site more cumbersome to use.  It also discourages people from visiting the site and posting as often.  This means they sit there and check for replies to their posts via e-mail, which is fine... but this also means they don't see new topics they haven't subscribed to since they aren't coming to the site as often... and this also means lost banner ad impressions and revenue.

I know one "answer" is to tell users to set it so they automatically log-in.  But many people use shared computers, so an automatic login option isn't the answer for them.

If anyone has already resolved this, I would appreciate a mod for 7.5.
