Have the most strange error occuring that I know must be easy to solve if it isnt then it will create some amusement
When creating a post on my forum ( I'm new too by the way ) you can type every letter on your keyboard other than the £ sign. As soon as you press the pound sign and press to post the message you get the following error message
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'
[MySQL][ODBC 3.51
Driver][mysqld-5.0.41-community-nt]Incorrect string value:
'\xC2\xA3<br>...' for column 'Message' at row 1
/forum/edit_post.asp, line 505
Ok for those that are now thinking it's blah blah blah heres what I am running and using :-
Dedicated Windows Server 2003 rackmount
Fully updated and legal !
MySQL
WebWiz 9 just purchased and licensed
MySQL language set to Latin1
Rest of forum works fine other than one gripe about if you change something in somebodies profile it resets their password.
We are a UK site and people want to use the £ sign on a items for sale part of the board. So getting error messages kinda kills the forum useage.
Any ideas anyone?
