Error with Date Format in 9.5

	I am tring to get my date to read M/D/Y. I changed it to read as such. When I looked at the read out after changing the settings it still reading D/M/Y even though the settings are set to M/D/Y. What is causing this?

	This can be changed in the admin area globally. However, each user can also change this setting under their own profile, so if you are logged in under a username you would need to edit your forum user profile to change the date format for that user.

	Hello BoRg, Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. My Phone line got cut by some guy trying to put up a fence 2 houses down from me. Anyway, I was logged in as Admin when I was tring to change the date settigns. I downloaded the database and opened it up to see what the date setting was on. It shows its to read M/D/Y but the server some how overrides this. Any ideas?

	If you set it in the admin area this is set for non-logged in users. If you want to change it for your admin account you need to edit your own forum profile and change it in that. The reason being is that each user can set their own date and time preferences overriding those set in the admin area, so the admin area only effects non-logged in users.

	Thanks for clearing that up Borg. I misunderstood the operation. I thought I could change the date/time setting for everyone and if they wanted it another way then they could change it in there profile.

	It will for new users, but it won't change the settings of accounts that already exist.
