Hi,
 
Does anyone have a problem with private messaging? I've come across an issue where it doesn't allow the users to send private messages. It works for Admin but not for users. Is there any settings I need to have a look at?

Have you modified any of your forum files? Like the PM pages, etc...?
Also, did you look in the admin area to make sure that PM system is enabled?

Yes the Private Messaging Facility is enabled. And I didn't modify any coding at all. I have WebWiz v9.04 installed. Strangely it is giving the error message as "you are only permitted to send -1 Private Messages per hour. You hav exceeded the limit." From the settings, I can assure you that it has 20 messages per user in an hour. And since it is giving -1, I assume it is a code error or something.

It sounds like the database has not be created correctly with the correct data types.

1. Open the database and choose to modify the table tblConfiguration
2. Locate the field PM_Flood
3. Change the datatype to 'smallint'
4. Go back into the admin area of the forum and update the Private Message section with the correct number of PM's a user can send each hour.
