The new version forum user with a moderator could not close it. When clicking on the appropriate menu item, nothing happens. I tested it on two computers. The topic can be closed only administrator

Thanks Bruce. Just to clarify the situation. At this moment moderators can’t  lock  the topics even from the “topic option”. Could you please check this once again?

We've encountered several bugs exploring our new forum interface, could you take a look at them, please:

1) Logged as moderators we cannot edit threads, i.e. we can open Edit insert in a cascade menu, we can see Edit window, we can check, for example, Hide option, but nothing changes on a page after OK button has been pressed – the thread is still not hidden and no other expected changes is applied, though the page has been refreshed.

2) Noticed several times: while I’m typing a Quick Reply message I see no Smiles, where they usually were - to the left from the Quick Reply window (I wish they were there again..). Then I finish typing, leave cursor at the end of the message, select a smile from Smiles Menu – and instead of all text I’d typed there appears the smile I’ve just selected. It happens only in Quick Reply window, I haven’t noticed it in Full Reply.

3) There’s a similar bug in Full Reply window, but it’s with pictures here: when I select a picture I want to paste and press OK button, the picture replaces all the text I’ve typed earlier and I cannot insert any comments in this post if the picture sticks to a top. If it’s on a 2nd line or lower – then it’s Ok, I can type it all over again on the 1st line, but it still seems weird.

4) If you’re signed on Reply Notices and you click on one of them, then you get at the top of target page, not at the reply post itself (as it was lately).

5) When you type a message in Quick Reply window and you do this for a minute or so, the page suddenly scrolls itself up to its header so you must scroll it down manually so as to continue typing your message. If it takes, let’s say, 5 minutes to finish your post, then you’re going to repeat this downscrolling about 5 times, which is, although, not a big problem, but still very annoying.

We’re looking forward to obtain your feedback on these subjects.

Best regards

They will all be looked into.

However, quite a few relate to the quick reply and full replay which have not chnaged form version 8.

The reply boxes use the built in RTE API of the web browser you are using. Allot of the problems you mention are coursed by bugs in the browsers API, if you update your browser it should fix allot of the bugs.
