Is there a way to designate which Profile fields you want to make available to those that register?

THere is currently a field for homepage and I do not want people to be able to enter a homepage.

No, there isn't.
The only way at the moment is to edit (or delete) form of the fields you don't want to make available.

For doing that edit register.asp file and remove homepage etc

Is there any way to prevent the homepage column from being displayed in the Memberlist??

edit members.asp page removing the Home page column from HTML code e ASP output.
