This is my own list of changes from version 7.7 to 7.7a

so basically i overwrite the old files with the new ones and then upload them. This wont effect users accounts or the new skins i have created will it?

Is it worth upgrading or wait for a newer majororly changed version?

cheers

This detailed message is for those people who carried out his own mods or changes in many files. So, depend what mods and changes in files you are using.

If you are running a forum in english, you are blessed, I understand you only have to overwrite the older files with the new ones. This will not have any effect over the database. Of course, backup first your database, do not overwrite with the new empty one.

About the new skins, if you are working in other languaje or have some mods, do not overwrite without think first in the mods you do not want to lose. I changed my own icons in spanish and other minority changes in all files (eg. warning error messages when the user use some formularies, autoresponse emails, etc), so I maintain these files changes and upgrading manually using Visual Comparer.

Upgrading is the best way to keep your forum run securelly and without bugs. Go ahead, the programer's effort is worth.
