Hi Guys,

I upgraded my Access V7 db to V8 then exported the data into  MySQL, all was fine on my localhost.

Logged on and forums showed up correctly but when I click on a forum, the localhost goes into overdrive and freezes the computer, like as if a never ending loop is processing. Everything else works fine, like the admin or going directly to the last post and such. Just that "forum_topics.asp" page is the problem.

There are around 7000 posts in the DB so dont think it should affect it.

Cheers

It is not possible to upgrade from version 7 Access to version 8 Access then convert to mySQL.

There are to many tables names that are incompatible with mySQL if you use that method.

What method should be used then? MySQL is on my shortlist of backends to use when I convert.
