Compact/Repair database ver 8.04 (access)

When I tried to do a compact repair from the admin menu on my version 8.04 access database I get this error:
 

    Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0046'

    Permission denied

    /forum/admin_compact_access_db.asp, line 115

     
     
    The database has write permissions set but I still get this error.....
    Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

    You need to set Read/Write permissions! If you already set these, check again because the erorr its a permissions issue and nothing else.

    I had the read/write permissions set...
    It seems I had to set the modify permissions as well...
     
    But in any case...That worked....I appreciate the help...Thumbs%20Up

    Sometimes when you upload the permissions to reset. But that depends on your host.

    I understand that as well
    Fortunately, I host it myself on my own server in my home...
     
    The strange thing about it was that users were able to post and the info would be written to the database...
    I just could not do a compact and repair....
