7.7 to 7.9 Upgrade

What is the best method for upgrading from 7.7 to the latest version 7.9.  Is there a specific list of files that should be replaced.... or the entire code base?  I apologize if this is redundant and I am asking for reiteration.  I just want to ensure a flawless transition and ensure I get the latest security fixes.  Thank you in advance for any help.

in the forum update you downloaded you will find a list of files that have changed (in a file called version history)

if you are using access database version (you didn't say) you just need to change the files listed.

if you are running the SQL version you may need to search the forum for a list /changes to the stored procedures (if there is any changed).

Which files? I was going to do the same. Also, what are the advantages of 7.9?

please read my last message. in the default folder when you un zip the forum there is a file called version_history.txt.

at the bottom is what files where changed in what version.

in V7.8 was a major security patch and in V7.9 was something in the rules page.
