Hi Everyone!

I'm pretty new here, so I don't know anything about ASP yet.. But I'm getting this error, once I'd uploaded the forum to the web.. I know, for a fact, that the server can tale ASP...

This is the error:

 ADODB.Connection.1 error '800a0bb9'

The application is using arguments that are of the wrong type, are out of acceptable range, or are in conflict with one another.

common.asp, line 260

I've tried re-uploading common.asp, but that doesn't make a change at all... Help?

Re-uploading the common won't help because the error is to do with when the forum tries to access the database.

Somethings that you need to check and reply to

  1. Have you changed the database name/ moved it?
  2. What database are you using 97/2000/2000

The Access 97 version of the forum was dumped a few years ago due to problems with Access being used as a backend database system for a web site as it can#t cope with the updates required and often becomes corrupted.

Change the Access database back to Access 2000 or 2003
