image posting working / not working

 

Forum version 8.03 

 

i've been setting up a new forum, (i'm hosted with webfusion) i've been testing the workings of the forum.

I can not post images, I tried posting an image again to the forum  i originally put an image on and now myself and others are getting a 500 error..?

I'm checking the permissions carefully and as far as i can tell all the forums have the same permisions, everyone but guests should be able to post images. 

basically it all works, I get the pop up saying... please be patient while the image uploads, and i click ok... there is a varying pause and i get the 500 error. any ideas? I'm assuming this is web host related? I have upped the image size allocation and tried posting image of varous types and sizes, I have 100's of meg free on the website.

i'm not sure how to go about fixing this...

for others with a webfusion account, you will need to contact them and request permissions changes to the folder as suggested in the 'boRg' post above :P

 

I phoned was polite, then emailed and it was sorted in about a couple of hours.

P.S. some webfusion hosted servers have a 200k limit on uploads.
