'Show Signature' setting not honoured on edit

This is probably more a feature request than a bug report:

When editing a message that was previously posted the 'Show Signature' setting is not honoured.

Correct behaviour should be that if the signature is shown in the post, when you edit a post the 'Show Signature' checkbox is ticked instead of having to re-tick it on every edit.
