    Posted: 19 April 2006 at 11:21am
I run a voluntary organisation and we have been happily using webwiz for sometime. We were looking forward to version 8 and downloaded the one for access databases which is what we run. However it now will not hook-up to our database. I have to rely on the goodwill of others to mend any problems and am now at my wits end. I do want to keep using webwiz because it suits our organisation but i do not know how to fix this problem. A friend of a friend had a look and now I have the basic program online but with no link to my database. Can anybody help me. Queensah

You need to use the upgrade tool on the download page to upgrade your database to a version 8 database.

The install instructions that come with the software tell you how to connect your database which is very simple, just type in the path to your Access database.

Well thanks very much that worked fine. now I have another problem that I wonder if anyone can help on. On my site www.intermix.org.uk I have three include files a top, a left side and a right side. i would like to fit my forum within these include files. I have found from looking at other sites that people get so involved in the forums that they forget to look at what's on the rest of the site and I would like to ensure that they can see what's happening in the rest of the site. I can make up specific include files but try as I might i cannot work out where to put them. I have been told that it might be difficult and that I would have to change the size of the forum. Does anyone know if this is true and can anyone offer any solutions. I cannot afford to pay a programmer as i have said before so I'm trying to do this myself with very little knowledge. Help, Queensah

web Wiz Forums comes with the files header.asp and footer.asp found in the includes directory that can be use for site integration, like on this site.

Thanks that was very helpful and I've been able to put a top in. don't think the footer will be much of a problem however it's the sides that i'm worried about. I'm going to have a go but any pointers would be really helpful.

Your input is greatly appreciated. Queensah
