Internal server error when adding poll

Version 7.7a on ms access/windows 2000 SP4
 
I've been running my board for quite awhile and all of a sudden, i'm getting the following error when trying to create a poll

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e21'

You cannot add or change a record because a related record is required in table 'tblAuthor'.

and the url that is in the address bar looks like this.
 
Notice the "PN=0"
 
 
I've looked at other posts and the guest account is still there and i've already run a compact and repair on the access database.
 
I'm also using account that have the correct permissions including the admin account.
 
I do not want to start from scratch as i've put many hours into integrating the forum into my website.
 
I've also tried replacing the following files
poll_form_inc.asp
poll_create_form.asp
 
I can post a regular message in the same forum where i create polls without any problems.. just can't create a new poll....
 
Any ideas?

Is this happening for all users or just partcular users??

We don't allow any of the members to create polls...  but there are three accounts we use that we've tried creating a poll with and they all give the error above... and for arguments sake.. i created a new user and assigned it admin privledges .. and still got the same error...

Just to note.. i seen other posts with the same type of error with people not being able to delete users... i went in a deleted that new test user account after unsuccesfully trying to create a poll.

So deleting a user is not any issue....

It could be a corrupted file, so try reuploading the files again.

Just as a note, the problem other users get with deleting users that you mention only happens if the built in Guest account has been removed from the database.

I've now replaced the following files with a brand new copy of web wiz i just downloaded.
 
poll_form_inc.asp
RTE_message_form_inc.asp
message_form_inc.asp
poll_create_form.asp
 
Still not working... Cry

Just an update... I've got the poll working.. but i had to manually add it to the database with Microsoft Access.
 
The good news is site visitors can vote....
 
If anyone can provide any idea why i can't created a new poll it would be appreciated.
