Duplicate uploaded images

I was browsing the upload folder to see what my forum users have been uploading, and I see a lot of duplicated images been uploaded (like at least 10 copies of the same image).  I'm wondering, is this my forum users' error or something wrong the the upload component?

I'm using Dundas Upload.

I don't know the nature of your forum, but I know the same thing was happening with my members.  they would use cute graphics, and upload the image each time.. so the ones they used frequently were up there 5-20 times!  they don't seem to understand that they are taking room on the server.

I also had one member post pictures of herself.. the same pictures about 8 times each.  and would delete them after a few people saw them.

I used two fixes for this.. the first one for little graphics.. I had my members use an emotipad I would purchase it for them (was only $7)  and they could just keep reusing images over and over and only upload it once. 

for the personal pictures problem, I added a photo gallery and now they can upload it once, if they remove it, it also takes it off the server.
