hi all,
 
is it possible to have a single level forum...ie no catagories so the forum homepage is basically a list of posts?
 
sorry if this has been covered elsewhere... i did search but its a tricky one to define Smile

You would need to mod the forum, basically hardcoding a forumid and take the navigation itself out.

a quick way is to add a redirect on the default page.. to the forum ID you want.

Or just give people the URL to the forum you want them to go to (the only one) and remove the link to the default.asp page at the top.
 
 
For example, if "Your Only Forum" were your only forum, change it so that the "Forum Default Page" link above does not show.  And then just send people to "Your Only Forum" URL.
 
That would require minimal hacking.
 
The redirect is also a good method.

the redirect does sound like a very simple solution... and if we ever need to move to multiple catagories its easy to revert.
