Cookie login problem once again

	I have searched here and found some webmaster also have the same problem. Users can login sometimes but most of the time recieve the: Sorry, only members with sufficient permission can access this page. A security error has occurred with authentication. Please ensure that all cookies are enabled on your web browser, and you are not using a saved or cached copy of the page. http://hi5.com.au/forum/ I've tried somethings to fix this - i removed the captcha from the login/register and renamed the default cookie name. But this doesn't seem to help - i am lost to what i should try next - do i install 8.0 beta 2? Any ideas of what might be causing this problem? Regards, Elmar

	I'm hoping to release Web Wiz Forums version 8 RC1 next Monday with some beta upgrade tools from 7.x databases. As I have designed a new propriety session tracking system (just got to think of a cool name for it) for version 8 that does require cookies hopefully it should fix your problem.

	Thanks, boRg In mean time i'll try a the following suggestions you made for previous support requests: 1. An ASP file on your site uses session.abandon 2. The sites application pool keeps rcycling 3. You are using load balanced servers 4. You are using a win2003 server app pool farm 5. You are using an unpatched win2003 server (win2003 origianly had a bug when it was released and the ASP session kept being dropped) If anything fixes this error, ill make sure to let everyone know. 	Ok managed to some what sovle this problem (don't think its a permanent solution - win2003 needs to find a perm solution). The problem is with the Applicaton Pool - you gotta play around with it. I basicly reloaded mine and it started working fine. Hope this helps someone else. Cheers, Elmar

	Version 8 will have support for load balanced web servers and app pools setup with web gardens so shouldn't have these issues.
