In older versions of WWF, if you created a link in a post and wanted to later remove that link, you could select the text/link, click on the link button, erase the URL in the dialog box, click OK and it would remove the link.

In the current version of this WWF, this does not work.

Also, the current dialog box you have is cumbersome. I liked the old version better (just a simple dialog box with one field to enter the URL).

The RTE used in version 7.x has been replaced with Web Wiz RTE version 3, which works in a different way to do links.

I know.  But how do you remove a link?  I tried to remove a link on this website earlier today and it wouldn't let me.

As far as I remember IE RTE API handles links much better and will remove the link by highlighting it and using the link tool to blank the link, thus removing it.

Firefox's API, doesn't handle links so gracefully, so you will need to delete the whole link and re-write the text again.

Darn it.  I just lost EVERYTHING I just typed because I logged into IE and it logged me out of FireFox and when I went back to FireFox to submit what I wrote, instead of warning me I am not logged in anymore, it ignored my input and everything I painstakingly wrote is gone. Confused

Okay, starting over from scratch again....

In IE 6, it does not allow you to remove a link on the version of WWF currently running on this website.

Also, all pop-up dialog boxes in FireFox are not the right size and since they are not resizable, I can't resize them to actually use them.

PLEASE do not use pop-ups that cannot be resized.  PLEASE!!!  In this case, the pop-ups are not sized right and since the user can't resize them, they are unusable.  And also, anyone who has poor vision and has their fonts set larger than average will not be able to use your pop-ups since the larger fonts will scroll off the screen and they can't resize it.

I can't even pick the angry smilie in FireFox in the Quick Reply because the pop-up cuts off half the smilies. Unhappy

Sorry if I am not as diplomatic as usual, but I'm a bit pissed that I lost everything I wrote at the moment.  Grrrr.
