Category view......

I was never that overly keen with the category view (only my preferance) in v7+ so rather then a complaint here is an alternative:-

 

 

The idea is that there is a lot of space saving for those forums with lots of categories and it's also folder icon driven giving it a bit more of an explorer feel. The dev team can decide if this is a good/bad thing and it's in your hands - just a suggestion.

 

BTW, I'm not attempting to pre-release a mod here, just trying to help you to give a bit of a new look and feel for v8 and saving space in the process but perhaps you may disagree with that.  If I'm out of place sending this in then please accept my apologies in advance.... Perhaps you want me to keep this asside for a later time (after the official launch) and release it as an alternate mod - I'm happy either way....

I just realised - I've not put anything into forum_topics.asp where the sub forums are displayed and there is probably a bit of tidying that can be done...  If you think it's something that you want to go with let me know and if you want I'll do the mods (FOC) and send them in but that's up to you very nice dev chaps ...
