Updating from V5 to V7???

Hi i have an old web wiz forum (v5.22) and im about to rebrand it completely but cant decide if its worth me upgrading too! So im interested to know what features have been addded since this version also how easy would it be to convert from an old version to the latest version without messing up the database? as ive added one or two of my own tabels!
 
Also where is the best plact to get webwiz compatible emoticons?

Version 5.22 was from around 4 years ago, and I'm afraid there is no upgrade path available, apart from trying to re-create the new database around the old database.

Also, verion 8 is to be released soon, so manybe worth waiting a little longer to upgrade.

Reason to upgrade include better security, as 5.22 would be easy to hack by a hacker. Also there are lots of new fetaures such as better performance, better RTE editor, CAPTCHA security images, flood control, PM outbox, better look, forum categories, and 100's of other features.

Updating the the latest version 7.96 is as simple as just updating the ASP files and keeping your orginal database.

You should upgrade ASAP to make sure your forum is safe from hackers.
