email Component problem

	Hello everybody, every time my web wiz forum tries to send an email i get the following error report: error '8004020f' /forum2/functions/functions_send_mail.asp, line 198 i contacted my provider and they told me it happens because the forum uses cdoBasic instead of cdoNTLM. They advised me to change the line: .Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/smtpauthenticate") = 1 to .Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/smtpauthenticate") = 2 I did that but there is still no change. I can't read private messages and emails won't be sent. Can anybody tell me what the problemsolution is??

	It is correct. My server uses smtp authentication (cdoNTLM). But sorry, I don't understand the site from the link that you sent me above. I now contacted my hosting provider again and they told me to fill in the following lines: strMailServerUser = "" 'SMTP server username strMailServerPass = "" 'SMTP server password So I filled in my CORRECT username and password and now I get that message when opening private messages or writing them: error '80040211' /forum2/functions/functions_send_mail.asp, line 198 I am really getting frustrated. Since more than a month my webwiz-forum doesn't send emails and my provider doesn't want to answer any questions any more related to the file "functions_send_mail.asp". What do i do wrong?

	If you can try a different email component, most hosts have a number installed. If not try a different hosting company, this site offers web hosting at www.webwiz.net, where you can have the forum software pre-installed for you and there is support for many email components including CDONTS, CDOSYS, and JMail Pro. JMail Pro can also pick up email from a POP3 account, so you can run ASP, or ASP.NET software to view your emails online.
