Hi

I have just changed my web host from verio to finalhost. My database and ecommerce site work ok, but the forum is giving me the following error:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified

/forum/common.asp, line 260

Nothing else has changed and the Forum was working fine with verio.

Naturally I have looked at line 260 and it is pointing to adcon.open. Do I need to setup a DSN with my host (as I did for my database)? If so, can anyone tell me where I can find the connection page with the name of the DSN so I can ask my host to set it up?

Of course, I am most probably barking up the wrong tree, so if I am as dumb as I look if anyone can help it would be appreciated.

if you had a dsn with your old host, have you change the connection type to relative or physical else it will be looking for a dsn that doesn't exist.

also make sure the database is not corrupt, do a compact and repair on it if possible

I hadn't set a DSN previously, just installed as per the instructions. That is why I don't know what it is or where to find its name.

Does it need a DSN?

How do I find whether the DB is corrupt? (it was working fine on the other host)
