Hi,

I'm having problem with some of Web Wiz RTE v4.12 functions in IE 11. I've got an error message which is "Error inserting object in current location" when I'm trying to insert emoticons. Besides, the format, font, size, text colour and background colour are not functioning. Nothing happen when I choose from the dropdown list.
I'm not sure whether is it my IE setting that need to be configured or the RTE problem?

Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

With IE 11 you need to place the website in to compatibility mode in order for the RTE to fully work.

You can do this by going to 'Tools' -> 'Compatibility View Settings', and adding the website.

We are working on getting the RTE to work without doing this workaround. With IE 11 Microsoft have removed their preparatory methods for Rich Text Editing and replaced it with the same more standard methods, but unfortunately something in IE 11 prevents the code running when using IFrames and new Windows.
