Do-Follow - When Google bots are crawling a website they look for external links point to other websites. If this links is “do follow” then search engines will follows the link and so link juice gets passed.
Nofollow -
If a search engine finds a “no follow” backlink it will just ignore the link and will not get deeper into crawling and no link juice is passed.

No-follow link is an HTML attribute which do not allow the search engine to follow that link, it does not pass on link juice. Only humans will be able to follow the links. It is a good practice to use no-follow link attribute to those link to which you don't want to pass juice-link.

Example of Nofollow Link: <a href=”http://www.google.com/” rel=”nofollow”>Google</a>

Do-follow link allows the Google (and all search engines) to follow them and reach our website. It passes link juice and gives us a backlink. If a webmaster is linking back to you with this link then both search engine and humans will be able to follow you. The best way to give someone do follow link is allowing keyword in the anchor text. This means when you are linking to any website or page, use the targeted keyword as anchor text.

Example of do follow Link: <a href=”http://www.google.com/”>Google</a>

By default, all the hyperlinks are do-follow, So you don’t need to do anything to make it do follow.

No follow link is an HTML attribute which sends messages to the crawlers to not to follow the rel=”nofollow” link.
