Topic: charset UTF-8 and Cyrillic decoder Posted: 09 July 2017 at 3:35pm |
Hello, I
have the following problems
1) When I use UTF-8 and write in Cyrillic all
the symbols go well, but only the symbol "м" comes out like £. Example: п = п => ок е = е => ок .... м = £ => error
This problem is displayed in the forms of comments on forum topics: https://i.imgur.com/SQ5fwhc.jpg The picture shows that the letter "м" in one place is good, the other is wrong
2) When
I use "Cyrillic windows-1251", Mozilla does not correctly recognize the code table
and display wrong characters, like these: РџРѕСЃР »РμРґРЅРѕ РјРЅРμРЅРёРμ
Mozilla displays the following recognized encoding: https://i.imgur.com/9XNv2qB.jpg If I set Unicode format in Mozilla the symbols are displayed correctly, but the next time the page is reloaded, they are again wrong and the encoding is changed again!
How do I fix these problems?

I add the information to my previous post! I use the following Cyrillic for the Bulgarian language (keyboard - Traditional Phonetic): https://i.imgur.com/kEPNkvM.jpg

You need to set the correct Character Set for your language in the admin area of Web Wiz Forums.
Once set any new data you submit to the forum will use the new character set and should display correctly.
Any data added to the forum under the old character set would have been saved using that character set and would need to either be edited and re-saved under the new character set or removed.

Hello, everyone, I've found a solution to the problems!
The solution is, all text files that are translated into a Cyrillic language must be stored in the correct format: If the selection in the control panel web-wiz-forum is UTF-8, the files must be saved as UTF-8; If the selection in the control-panel web-wiz-forum is Windows-1251, the files must be saved as ANCI.
Thanks for the answer and the desire to help me! Greetings!
