Hi everyone
I recently used a web wiz to run a forum for a big online shopping website and I have a little question about it. How to improve the security of the web wiz database?
Because the traffic to the website is very high and the number of people who are going to register on this forum is very large. The number of people over 100,000 people each has its own data and if the database security is low, their data may be streamed on the web.
I would appreciate if you answer this question

If this is a localhost SQL Server or MySQL Database then the best way to ensure that the database is safe is to not allow remote access to the SQL Server or MySQL so that the database can only be accessed from the localhost.

Make sure that all your database and servers passwords are strong passwords.

Setting a lockout rule on the server, using 'Local Security Policy' or 'Group Security Policy', so that only a set number of logins are allowed to server users accounts will help prevent or slow down brute force password attacks.

Restrict Remote Desktop (RDP) connections to the server to certain IP addresses through Windows Firewall or even better a  hardware firewall, if you have one. If you can not restrict it by IP and you use a hardware firewall see if you can restrict RDP connections to just your own country.
