getting rid of encryption

is there a mod of any recommendation on how to get rid of forum password encryption so passwords r stored straightly in the DB instead of being encrypted.. i know it has go to do with the encryption funtion located in an included file but i would still like to have some assitance on what exactly to do...

any help??

Set the blnEncryptedPasswords variable in the common.asp files to false.

Also read the comment in the code about what problems can arise.

This can only be done with a fresh database and you will need to edit the password for the admin account. If you have members in your database then they will no-longer be able to login.

Without encryption on passwords please beware if a hackers gains access to your database they will have all the usernames and passwords to hack your forum.

its alright borg, i dont need that much security.. its not a public forum..the only reason i would wish to do that is so i can import users list into the forum database directly
