that sorta looks like  javascript special characters "tab" and "newline" are being appended to the posts.

I've had a look and can't see why or how the \r\n is being added as there is no code like that in web wiz forums.

The only thing I can think is that either the files have been modified or you are using something other than FTP to upload the files which may also be modifying the code.

you might want to search if your using Chr(13) or Chr(10) in your asp code or using the variables vbCR or vbLF whch are the equivilents of \r and \n

It sounds like it could be server related, what server OS are you using and what database version?

Also, if using SQL server or mySQL on another server, check the language settings are the same.

Some ftp programs can modify text file transfers if they think either the sending or destination machine is a unix box.
/r/n are unix characters for the end of a text line and an advance to a new line. You may want to check the cuteftp oprions to see if there's any option for toggling unix text lines.
