Hi,
I can also switch off the group of points? I want does not work with points on the forum! I can not change the number of messages or does this new system?

Groups Points replace the the post count for ladder groups in version 10. You can configure the points in the admin area to match those for points.

The Points system replace the old Post Count system. It can not be disabled or the forum would not function.

anyone else having problems with group points. Ever since its been imposed, I now have to manually upgrade members to the groups they belong it as the points for groups doesn't work to automatically promote them in rank, either up or down, it just plain doesn't work. Post count worked flawlessly.

There have been no reports of any issues with the points system.
You should check your ladder group settings are correct.
Also have you modified your forum, if you have this may have caused the issue.

ladder groups haven't changed and I'm unable to modified the forum from behind the scenes, I just manage the forums. I had our web administrator look into it since the upgrade several times and reports she doesn't see anything out of order. Guess we'll wait until the next upgrade to see if that fixes the problem.

There are no know issues with the Points and Ladder Systems and not had anyone else report any issues.
The issue MUST be a settings issue in the forum that you are using, but as you are not the forum admin it would be quite hard to track down the exact setting that is incorrectly set.
You should make sure though that your forum admin is not running a beta version and has not modified the forum code.
