I'm very very new to web programming and have been using the web wiz guides to get started with asp.
I'm trying to apply some of the concepts to a web project that i'm undertaking. Basically what i want to do:
I have a piece of text to welcome visitors to the site, this text will change periodically so i thought i'd store it in a database and then have my user to login to a secure area (i've managed to setup a login script) and update the text.
I'm looking at the web wiz guide for the guestbook but that does quite a bit more than what i want and i can't figure out how to cut it down.
Could someone give me a guide on what i should be doing? I'd be so grateful for any help anyone could give.
