I am Currently Helping my estranged father develop and online store front I have the web site done and he is working on the database I need to make the site available to shop from (i.e. Shopping cart) I used dream weaver MX to actually build the site and installed a few shopping cart extensions but as of yet I still have not gotten it to work correctly as far as viewing the cart and submitting the order etc.. I am not a professional web developer and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what I could do to easily and affordably place a cart within my existing code -he is not planning on using any web hosting he is going to run the site from his house on a dedicated server

candypress is inexpensive, easy to setup and customize, reliable, and well supported by the user community at their site. IMHO, for small sites using asp, there's candypress and then there's everybody else.
They just got bought out, so don't know what the future holds for them.

EDIT - I strongly recommend a package as there are just to many things you can overlook when you build your own ecommerce site.

You'd be better off to post questions at their site forum.

candypress will do pretty much everything you would expect from a shopping cart system. just go to www.candypress.com and check it out for yourself. you can even install the front end of the shopping cart to test it out before you buy it.
