version 7.9 & Access Database on MS2003 iis server (fasthosts)

when looking at some of the topics / threads the following error is shown instead of the text:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'
Type mismatch: 'CDate'
/forum/functions/functions_format_post.asp, line 839

I would say about 15% have the error (also when clicking the arrow at end of topic for last post)

I have done a reSync & repair/compact but still the same, now for the really sad bit, this is an old forum that I wish to resurrect and not only have I used Access but it was running on an "el cheapo" 1&1 server in Germany.

Please tell me that this is recoverable

This was a bug that version 7 suffered from if you moved the forum from a server with one locale to a server with a different locale.

If you upgrade to the latest version using the database upgrade tools it should fix the issue.

Thank you Borg,

sorry to have posted 7.9 in 8.* forum (I thought I had upgraded to 8 but must have just had the idea to do it then forgot - was also going to register to remove limits/logos, must have forgotten that also)

Is there anywhere on your site that indicates which facilities are omitted in the free version of 9.* that are present in the fully paid for version?

Cheers, V

the main things you get from the premium version is

A Premium Edition License will automatically unlock many features including;-
  • Unlock features; Private Messaging, Events Calendar, and File Upload Manager
  • No Adverts
  • Brand Free (only available with a 'Brand Free License' option)
  • Removal of this nag screen
  • Permission to modify the source code
  • Access to Premium Phone and Email Support
hope that helps
