I don't recomment any SEO software. Look at your site from a search engine viewpoint - not your viewpoint. They want to send searchers to sites that have content that means something to people searching for specific things. Provide that content and make your site easy to navigate - no flash navigation and only simple java script. Get the Lynx browser and look at your site with it - that's how a search engine sees your site. Just write good content that emphasizes you chosen keywords and submit yourself to google, msn, yahoo, and aol. No one else matters. Get the google toolbar and turn on the option to show page rank. Get links to your site from highly ranked pages with similar keywords/in same business sector. Be prepared to wait a few weeks for your wite to be indexed. As the boss said... Google is your friend. Tons of sites on how to do search engine optimization - not just to charge you a fee for a half-done job. Check the newgroup news://alt.internet.search-engines as well

Personally I have never liked newsgroups, mostly because there is no real sense of community and because they are republished in web form with your e-mail open to the spam bots. For SEO I recommend Web Master world (google it)

MDAC are the MS Data Access Components. All hosts have them installed. Windows XP comes with 2.7 already, Server 2003 I think has 2.8 by default... It's kind of an old statement you don't really have to worry about anymore.
