I am a beginner. Can someone tell me how to get my hit counter to work. I am using a asp counter. What do I need to do to have it show on my home page? I have all the files in a dir ready to go. Do I need to add something into the home page html to make the counter work?

There is a hit counter with instruction on this site, check the free asp application section + please post in the right forum.
