Does anyone know how to activate subscriber email addresses that have been imported into the database from an external source?  I have imported a list, but when I go to send a newsletter it is showing 0 active addresses in the DB!  When I click on the actual newspad category I can browse the entire list of addresses that I imported...weird.  Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

It sounds like you did not import the subscribers into a category.

The subscribers need to be imported into a category so that you can send emails to those subscribers.

I actually did succesfully import them into a category.  And can see them when I click on the Categories link.  Any other ideas?

There isn't a way to activate or deactivate members. If they are in a category you can send eNewsletters to those members.

Make sure that you select which categories you want to send the eNewsleter to. Then when you go to the email send page it will give you the number of subscribers that will have the eNewsleter sent to them.
