Yes I know!  But I have Frontpage and I want to use it. I have installed the forum using FrontPage and it works well. I just want to customize it a little by adding my own header, side bar with navigation and footer.  I know about the files I am supposed to edit like header.inc, side_bar.inc and footer.inc

The question is how do I do such a nice clean job like Web Wiz Guide have done with this forum here.  The biggest question is how to I get the FrontPage generated navigation buttons to appear on the side_bar.inc file since this is dynamically generated navigation.

If your server is using FP 2002 extensions, you could create a new custom menu.  Then I would either place that code in the side_bar.inc file, or create an asp file w/ the code and then include it in the side_bar.inc file.  Version 7 does not have a side_bar file, so you have to place it in either the header or footer files.

I am unsure if there is a way to have the FP navigation stucture included in a page that isn’t actually included.  If there is a way, I would really like to know.

It looks like there is no way to include the navigation. I cheated and did a screen shot of the menu and pasted it in as a jpg and then linked each button (you would not know the difference). The only problem is that it is not part of the navigation. So if you update the navigation you have to update the jpg and links manually.

The header shows up on the top OK and the side bar shows up on the left side but the problem I am still having is that the actuall forum is not to the right of the side bar, it is below it!!.  I think it has something to do with tables.  I threw out the whole header contents and replaced with a "strechable" top bar like Web Wize Guide forum here. What am I doing wrong???

OK it now works. The problem was with a little code in original header that I threw out.

Check it out http://www.excellenthealth.ca/forum/default.asp

Let me know that you think
