You can not.

The size is set at 200 characters for performance reasons.

By setting the size higher than this would have meant using a text or memo datatype in the database.

Using these types of datatypes in the database would mean more work for the DBMS and larger database size and a page would have to be built with pointers just to store this 1 column on the DBMS, which is not good for performance or database sizes.

My users are constantly complaining about this but I think it is a good size. If everyone has large sigs, then the pages would be hard to read due to all ofthe content some users tend to place in their sigs.
