Hi
 
I have tried installing twice and it syays installed successfully and ready to go :-) but when I go to
/forum I get this error
 
Server Error in Forum Application
An error initialising Global Variables from database.
Please contact the forum administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_getForumConfigurationData()_get_global_variables
File Name:- global_variables_inc.asp

Error details:-
ADODB.Recordset
Operation is not allowed when the object is closed.
 
There are tbales in the DB but no stored procedures.
 
i found another post with the exact same problems as me but he didnt get an answer.
 
Please advise, I have a licensed version of version 7 for www.eaglemusicshop.com and am wanting to get the new version setup correctly.

Looks like you may have a corrupted file try reuploading the original files again

Ive already tried but that but still the same issue, I also saw this post as a reply to someone else having the same problem. Dont know what to try next ?? Thanks

Hi I am also getting this exact same issue.

 
i too have tried re-installing everything.. it creates the database ok? weil lit creates some tables i am not sure if it should also have created any Stored Procs, but it doesnt appear to have done so??
 
I am using SQL server 2000 for the database..
any ideas anyone?

ok just closed the borwser havng cleared the cache... and re-opened it and this error has now gone.!! but the page dont' look right, al the images arent coming up!  but i will log another issue for that if i cant resolve.

Hi, I have the same problem. I tried re-uploading it. I tried closing the browser and opening it again. I even tried restarting the machine just in case the cache didn't get cleared properly. But the same issue. My Spec is Windows Server 2003, SQL Server 2000 and WWF 9.02
 
Please help me out as this is for a client and I need to get this up and running ASAP.
