    Posted: 22 December 2003 at 4:29pm

Greetings everyone,

I am currently using another forum product called Snitz Forums that is installed in a directory called \forum. That also happens to be the directory that WW instructs me to install the WWF scripts too. Can I install WWF into a different directory? i.e. \wwforum ? What kind of problems will this give me?  I need to do this as I phase out my old Snitz forum (but still want to keep it as read only for historical value) it uses access DB, My new installed WWF will use a MSSQL DB.

Thank you,

Matt

No issues doing that. I have mine in a different dir and have had no problems.

If you do a search you may find a upgrade script from Snitz to WWF

You can create a VIRTUAL DIRECTORY in IIS called anything you like. I have different forums on my IIS as well, and the wwf is in a virtual directory called /wwforum. So you can use like, http://webservername/wwforum or http://webservername/forum etc

If you dont want my peaches, dont shake my tree
