Yes, just edit the file includes/browser_page_encoding_inc.asp and chnage the page encoding to anyone you feel appropriate. It has most already in the list you just need to uncomment the one you require.

How come some features are only changeable through editing the codebase? Why isn't all of WWFs features editable from admin backend?

Very common features are available through the online admin, but some features either can not be, or are not frequently required.

The more things that you enable through the online admin area, the more data needs to be stored in the database which in turn needs to be read into the web servers memory putting a further stain on resources.

There are many things to consider when building an application like this, if it was a matter of just sticking in everything and anything with no consideration, development time would be quicker, but you would also have a very slow and insecure forum engine.

Trying to make the right balance between all considerations can be very tricky, especially when you have to keep in mind ease of use, security, performance, compatibility with all types of servers and system, and 100's of people all wanting different things.
