Hi,
 
Just uploaded new version 9.55, from 8.02 Embarrassed all has gone really well, including the DB upgrade, but unfortunately when I try and enter one of the forums I get the following error.
 
 Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01f4'

Variable is undefined: 'blnSqlSvrAdvPaging'

/forum_topics.asp, line 422

So i thought I bet its the upgraded DB, but I get the same on the default one too.
 
Any idea's?

Looks like your site is working now, but if it is not then it could be a corrupted file so try reuploading all the files again as this is a scripting error rather than a database error.

Thanks for having a look, but as far as I can see, the website is working perfectly, except for the sub-forums and some of the weblinks, which are still getting this error.  I have, as you said, re-downloaded the forum package and uploaded the new package, but this has made no difference unfortunately.  Could it be a hosting issue as I have just moved provider? If so, what might be missing from the server, so I can address enquires to them..

The error means that a variable 'blnSqlSvrAdvPaging' is not declared within the software.

This variable is declared in the file database/database_connection.asp. Make sure that you are running the latest version of this file and not using an database_connection.asp file from a previous release.

At a guess I would say that you have tried to use a database/database_connection.asp file from your old version so that you don't need to re-type in your database connection details into this file. This file was updated in newer releases to add in advanced paging for SQL Server and mySQL which uses the new variable 'blnSqlSvrAdvPaging' which is declared in this file.

Your running on fasthosts - have you checked which version of SQL server they are running? Web Wiz Forums comes with 4 different options

SQL Server 2005/2008 Version
mySQL Version
SQL Server 2000 Version
and
Access Version

If fasthosts are running SQL 2000 and you uploaded the 2005/2008 version this could cause similar issues I expect
