Does anyone have any suggestions about how to resolve this error:

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'

Could not use ''; file already in use.

/forum/common.asp, line 233

I think it is a permissions error. See the documentation!

Thanks for the tip. You'd think that after 35 years of doing software I'd have learned how to RTFM.

I had tested WebWiz locally and then handed it off to a provider; that must be when the permissions got screwed up.

We're checking this out now and do not believe that it is a permissions problem because it is intermittent; a permissions problem would likely be consistent.

The one thing that seemed odd is thet the main part of the software, as distributed, uses the MS Access (*.mdb) driver while the admin section uses the Jet (OLEDB) driver. We have changed the latter to conform, thinking it might be a driver clash.
