It looks like this only effects people in EU countries as the EU have decided to put a 14% inport tax of LCD screens made outside the EU.

yeah, it's only import taxes.. so LCD screens produced inside EU will still be the same as they are today.. but most computer accessories are made in Taiwan and China..
