your thoughts here as i am spitting blood,

a post i made on a web wiz forum(nameless for now)by mistake by hitting post instead of reset form, it was posted in entirity by the resipient of email forwarding..........

my question is,could i actually hold my forum signature as copyright of the material posted? i want the guy hung drawn and quatred for invasion of privacy, removed from said board, and the boards owners neither have the time to moderate properly(although the post has now gone, too many people have read it)nor have the backbone to actually moderate correctly when members infrige the registry rules?

your thought are welcome

regards,pam

I am not sure what subject you are talking about but when you post stuff here that you have a copyright on and somebody grabs it and uses it, I don't think it is a moderators responsibility to catch that. Again, I am not sure what post you where referring to so i might be wrong in this case but if you have concern that someone steels your copyrighted content you can take legal action.....

Do you have your signature copyrighted?

Also why were you contemplating posting your said copyright material in the first place if you were going to be so annoyed if it was posted? Further, when you did press submit why was the info not posted directly onto the board instead emailed to someone?

Anything you create is automaticaly copyrighted in the UK and US, however its also best if you stamp a date, a (C) and copyright yourname line below it

have you never typed something in anger then thought better of it,the post button and the reset form buttons are right next to each other, not a common mistake i've ever made but have done it before, just never had someone lying in wait before. it was posted directly on the board, then removed by me 2 secs later, unfortunatly this someone had email notification forwarding enable on the thread.

Gullanian

many thanks for that, nice to know i was on the right tracks
