I can't tell if I am subscribed to the thread with the link:

"Toggle Email Notification for this Topic"

I have to actually click the link and then decipher the way too long javascript popup window to figure out if I am subscribed or not.

How about some text in the link indicating whether I am subscribed or not?

Please do a search of the forum as this has been covered before and allot of discussion was made about this during the beta development of version last Christmas.

I can't find the beta version discussion, but I did find a few other comments. Based on that it looks like the next version will a link with clearer wording.

Without running extra performance reducing database hist it's not possible to tell if a user is subscribed to that topic of not, so no it's not planned for the future. It was in version 7 but was removed for this very reason.

You can always use the email subscriptions page in your forum settings to check which topics or forums you are subscribed to.

Why don't you just go to 'SETTINGS - EMAIL NOTIFICATION SUBSCRIPTIONS' that should show you everything you are subscribed to.
