I run the 8.04 version and since yesterday the main page is showing the following error:

Server Error in Forum Application
An error has occured while executing SQL query on database.
Please contact the forum administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_get_last_USR_+_count
File Name:- default.asp

Error details:-
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
The log file for database 'tempdb' is full. Back up the transaction log for the database to free up some log space.

Since then, many topics are not working. What can I do?!

This means that the log file for the database tempdb on the server is larger than the maximum size set in SQL Server.

To fix this either set the recovery model for this database to simple or increase the storage size of this database. To do this you need to use SQL Server Studio Manager or get the SQL Server admin to do this for you.

Did you also check the 'tempdb' as it is this database which it says the log file is full for?

Yes. Same thing. And when I tried to backup the tempdb it told me "Backup and restore operations are not allowed on database tempdb".

Check the size and the recovery model, then use the Shrink tool to shrink the database and files.

The following may be useful:

You may wish to check the drive that the tempdb is located on for free disk space (usually C: drive)

I tried restarting SQL Server. Nothing. I shrank the database. Nothing.

I'm getting desperate here, guys. I have more than 700 thousand messages in the forum and 5,000+ members and they're getting really angry... :(
